OUR PROJECTS
We have a variety of programs through which we help girls and women who need our assistance. We try to attend to the specific needs of each girl but we have also implemented several continual and sustaining projects.
FOREVER HOME
Nearly 60 girls rescued from modern slavery, abandonment, child marriage, and other forms of gender-based violence currently find safety and hope, in the care of Consoler and Eliya Wilbert.
The mission and transformative power are informed by Consoler’s own childhood experience of gender-based violence and marginalization. Consoler and Eliya devote themselves to creating a family home and safe haven where girls who have suffered can heal and be loved, cared for, educated, and gain life skills, enabling them to grow to become independent young women. This family plays together and works together, sharing the day-to-day responsibilities for their large household.
NOW an exciting initiative for New Hope for Girls to have a permanent, well-designed Forever Home for their family and for a training center for others, is underway in partnership with one New Hope for Girls supporter, African Road.

EDUCATION FOR CHANGE
This project assists girls with their school fees and other learning costs. Education is one of the most important goals of our organization.Vulnerable girls in urban areas face significant challenges to completing education and building sustainable incomes. Family situations including abuse and neglect, often force girls from their homes or limit their ability to participate in various educational activities.
Some of the girls are given support to pursue entrepreneurship studies. The majority of our girls are currently attending school or are learning valuable skills to sustain and support themselves through entrepreneurship.
GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
The program started in 2014 and today its purpose is to train girls to give back to the community after being supported during their holidays or after they have completed school and are waiting for the exam results (which will determine which way they go further). This program supports the needs of our local community through education and hospital visits: visiting the sick and cleaning the hospital, supporting disabled children and their families.
For three years we taught local children of both genders as school was not free at that time. Now that education has been made available free of charge through the government we focus on serving those in need in our community who may be disabled and teaching young mothers who did not have the opportunity to attend school.
SPORTS, GAMES & ENTERTAINMENT
This program aims at discovering various gifts in beneficiaries through sports and entertainments. The entertainments include football, netball, volleyball, running, singing, swimming, tennis, various dancing, drawing, drama, playing various music instruments, riding bicycles, driving cars, acrobitics, jumping rope, badminton, table tennis and the like. The sports games and entertainment are used to transform lives of beneficiaries suffering from trauma and violence and have fun.
The program will also help unite them, build their confidence, improve their relationships with other different people. During the process, among them there will also be leaders, coaches for soccer grass-roots. Lastly, for other beneficiaries, this program will be an opportunity for employment, a way to be sustainable. We believe we will reach our goal in different paths. As Nelson Mandela said “Sports creates hope where once there was only despair”.
